Today’s Hidden Gem

Keith Moon singing “When I’m 64”

Keith, in a rare singing performance, sang the tune for a scene in the film 1976 film “All This and World War II.”

I had never heard of this film before, but apparently it’s a musical documentary that combines Beatles music with World War II footage. It’s an extremely rare film that was never released on VHS, DVD, etc. and only lasted in theaters for a week, but does have a soundtrack in existence.  It included some pretty stellar Beatle covers though, including Elton John’s version of “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds”, Frankie Valli singing “A Day in the Life” and Jeff Lynne doing “With a Little Help From My Friends/Nowhere Man.”

UPDATE:  Keith also recorded a cover of “In My Life”.
