TODAY IN BEATLEDOM

September 10, 1963 AND 1965 Folks, it’s a special two-for-one edition of Today in Beatledom.  On this day in 1963, John and Paul were in a taxi heading from the Savoy Hotel to their apartment.   Along the way, they spotted Andrew Oldham, who invited them to go see the Rolling Stones.   It was at this meeting that John and Paul offered the Stones the song “I Wanna Be Your Man.”

Also on this day, in 1965, Brian Epstein began handling negotiations for the British screenings of The Beatles’ cartoon series.
