August 1, 1978 George Harrison’s son, Dhani, is born.  Dhani originally planned a career as an aerodynamicist, but it didn’t take long for him to realize that music was in his blood.  He formed his own band, thenewno2, in 2006.

Here’s a clip of Dhani playing along with Paul, Eric Clapton and others on “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” during the Concert for George. It was here that George’s widow, Olivia, told Paul: “that with Dhani up on stage, it looks like George stayed young and we all got old.”
