Today’s Hidden Gem
The Twickenham Sessions / Recording of Let It Be
Nobody can pinpoint exactly when The Beatles began to fall apart. But it’s safe to say that their time at Twickenham Studios in 1969 was not all too enjoyable. Sure the band popped out a bunch of solid tunes for the Let It Be “album”, but their relationships were falling apart. George was becoming a strong songwriter, John was wanting (even more) freedom from the band, Paul was seeing even more creative differences with everyone and Ringo was, well, just being Ringo.
Consider this video to be one of the last few glances the public would ever get into the “real” Beatles. There’s no fighting going on here - just John and Paul doing what they did best with an Elvis impersonation thrown in for good measure.
